Its been a long time since I have posted something on this blog thing.  I guess I have realized in terms of photography I only have time these days to photograph my life and enjoy this amazing summer.  I love this picture of her because she was cracking up and being goofy and somehow this is the look I caught in between her silliness.  My little beauty is going to be 2 soon!!!  I can't believe it.

Hazy Sun Attempt

I was trying to get that hazy look.  The sun always comes in so perfectly through my backyard.  I need to master it.  Let me know what you think.  How did I do?



Changes faces

These pictures were taken right after my little buddy woke up from her nap.  This was the order of her emotions and it literally happened in 3 to 5 seconds that she went from sleepy to pouty to silly.  The one in the middle is my favorite.  The other 2 were going to get tossed aside because of the blurred look and the funky lighting but when they are put together they really tell a story about my child and her unpredictable personality.  To me that is what photography is all about.   

First Newborn shoot!

I had my first attempt at a newborn photo shoot.  Baby Layla is 12 days old.  She was a beautiful model.   Newborn babies are not as easy to photograph as I had expected. 
Keeping them comfortable and happy is a challenge. 
I hope all you ladies keep having babies so I can try some more.  It was so fun; now I know why some photographers spend 4 plus hours at a newborn session. 

The 2 hours I spent with Layla flew by and there were so many more shots I wish I could have gotten.  Anyway, here is one of them.

I am always trying to get a picture of her lashes.  People pay big money for eyelashes like these.  My natural beauty queen.  She was sick today so she was a little less mobile.  I took advantage.

Tried to set up a Valentine's themed photo shoot.  I am still trying to figure out the "hot spot" in my house.  This picture was taken when I had given up and snapped one in the mirror.

She is such a girly girl already.  Her outfit consisted of gold shoes and a diaper.  In this picture she is accessorizing with a scarf. 

Now that this is uploaded it looks a little blue.  Stay tuned for another version if I can figure out how to warm it up.

Never enough time with this guy.  I am so happy I got to see him as much as I did over the past few weeks.  Next time I see him he will be so big.  Miss you and your Mom-mom.  See you soon!

Didn't get to take any photos today.  This was from Christmas Eve morning.  Picking up some eggnog gelato from Dolce on Elmwood.  Stopped for breakfast and coffee.  P.S.  the gelato was delish!
